I moved to Montana today!! I started off so nervous and anxious but now that I am here and basically all settled I am comfortable. This morning started off really early and I had trouble sleeping but got a couple good hours in. Then I packed the last few things like my backpack and camera. I said goodbye to my family and headed out. I stopped in Idaho for about two hours to catch up with an old friend. After the stop in Idaho all the roads were new to me.
Arriving in Missoula was kinda terrifying. I got off the highway and immediately there was a round about that I was not expecting. Then I drove right past my apartment complex that I am living at. It took me at least 10 minutes to get back to the complex. The person working the front desk gave me a tour and showed me my apartment where I met Sheldon (one of) my roommates dog. Once the tour was over I started hauling things from my car into my apartment. Luckily there are these little wheel barrow bag things that I was able to use to transport things faster. It still took me an hour and 40 minutes though.
Not to long after I finished getting everything in the apartment my roommate, Arlene came in. She has been living here since spring. We are expecting Ashley sometime this week and Madisyn will be moving in the 25th. Arlene helped me finish unpacking my things and we figured out the kitchen situation for the most part. Tomorrow we are going to go to Walmart and possibly Albertsons and Costco. I am gonna find some things to help us better organize the kitchen and get some cleaning supplies.
I almost forgot on the drive there were lots of signs saying to watch out for animals, however each time I saw a sign it was like new words. They had a “Game crossing,” “Wildlife Crossing”, and your usual deer signs. It was interesting to see. Eventually I will get pictures of my room posted, so you can all see it. I really like it though. I do wish that I had more storage space in my bathroom or a linen closet. But overall I really love my apartment so far. I will keep you all updated!
Love, Tori
