I am officially all healthy now. My COVID test came back negative and my symptoms are all gone as of Monday morning. I was able to attend my first day of school yesterday! I was really excited and also super nervous.
Madisyn and I carpooled to school and we got there a few minutes before 9 am when school started. Most of the students were already there. The building is super cool. Its a warehouse and but half of the space was already sorta renovated to be like office space or something. The studio area is in the warehouse space, unrenovated, and with large garage doors. That space is also where our main classroom is. One of the teachers hand made desks for everyone and spaced them all 6 feet from each other. They have been joking about letting us take them home when we graduate.
First day and today have been really boring just orientation things. However official classes start tomorrow and I have a class schedule set until winter break. Which means its gonna be 10 times easier to communicate with work times that I can and cant work on a weekly basis. Because some days we get out earlier and some days we get out later.
Even though I didn’t learn anything about Photography yesterday I did learn some cool things. The founder of the school Niel, he is 77 years old and still teaching. Niel also worked and collaborated with Ansel Adams. There are also 25 students attending Rocky Mountain School of Photography. And in total there will be 27 teachers, however I don’t know if that includes our three amazing Assistants or not. The teachers aren’t all here at the moment though, they rotate through for different classes.
I will be doing a more in depth post about what I learned and the break down I got. That way you guys know what kind of classes I am gonna be attending and what I will be learning as well as when. I just wanted to do a quick update. I am just kinda busy the rest of this week. Since I have work after school today and tomorrow and plans with Marshal on Friday. But I am alive and having lots of fun and taking good care of myself. I’m having fun getting to know my roommates more and classmates.

Hooray for good health! I hope it stays that way!
Thatโs really cool about Niel having collaborated with Ansel Adams! It was neat to read about the warehouse and desks. It helps me visualize where you are. I hope itโs warm in there during the winter months!
